RSS News headlinesKyiv, June 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko has said that Ukraine and Russia should work out the terms of the formation of the price of natural gas by September 15 at the latest.
"By the middle of August, [or] by September 15 at the latest, we should fix the [gas] price terms at the level of the governments and at the level of Naftogaz Ukrainy and Gazprom," he said in an interview with reporters in Kyiv on Thursday.
Yuschenko said that he gave respective instructions to Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko for her talks with Russian Premier Vladimir Putin.
According to the president, this will allow the new price for gas to be known when drafting Ukraine's budget for 2009.
