Kyiv, July 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Association of Realtors of Ukraine jointly with the Union of Realtors of Ukraine on October 13 to October 15 are to hold the "Realtor-Professional" all-Ukrainian real estate congress, the president of the Association of Realtors of Ukraine, Oleksandr Bondarenko, said at Interfax-Ukraine in Kyiv on Thursday.
He said that the event is aimed at consolidating the efforts of realtors, representatives of state authorities, local government bodies, and the business mass media to create and improve a civilized real estate market in Ukraine.
The annual congress of the Association of Realtors of Ukraine would be held during the congress, at which its members are to elect a new president of the organization, he said.
During the press conference, the Association of Realtors and Union of Realtors confirmed earlier announced plans to join at the congress and create a common all-Ukrainian organization.
Bondarenko said that they were in talks with the Ukrainian Guild of Realtors on joining the new organization, although there is no firm agreement as of today.
"We were in talks. We invited the head of the Ukrainian Guild of Realtors, Natalia Shkileva. We thought that those principles that we take, would be taken by them. Unfortunately, our colleagues left the talks at a certain stage," he said.
The head of the new organization would be elected at the congress. Bondarenko said that he would not run for this post, while Oleksandr Rubanov, the president of the Union of Realtors of Ukraine said that he might run the post.
Vice president of the Association of Realtors of Ukraine, Yuriy Venhrynovych, said that amendments to the regulations of the association would be considered at its congress.
The Association of Realtors of Ukraine has been operating in Ukraine since 1995.
The Union of Realtors of Ukraine was created in the summer 2007 on the basis of the Union of Realtors of Kyiv, which was created in 1995.
