Dnipropetrovsk-based PrivatBank has won a tender, held by Lviv Railways state company to select a bank to grant a credit.
According to an official report of Lviv Railways in the Visnyk Derzhavnykh Zakupok bulletin, PrivatBank is to issue UAH 50 million with a 22% interest rate.
The tender was held on October 20, and the credit agreement was signed on October 28. On October 20, Lviv Railways failed to hold a tender on another two lots: a UAH 50 million credit line and a UAH 50 million overdraft.
PrivatBank, the largest bank in Ukraine in terms of total assets, was founded in 1992. Its net profit January through September 2008 rose by 31% year-over-year, to UAH 791.5 million, while its overall assets expanded by 30.6%, to UAH 73.41 billion.
