Cabinet approves project for construction of section of Kharkiv Metropoliten's third line

The government has approved a project for the construction of the Oleksiyivska line section of Kharkiv Metropoliten from Metrobudivnykiv Vaschenko station to Odeska station, with a cost of UAH 1.359 billion.

This was stipulated in cabinet resolution No. 717-r of June 24, 2009.

The construction project was designed by OJSC Kharkivmetroproject and recommended for approval by the state enterprise Ukrderzhbudekspertyza (the Ukrainian state construction inspectorate) of the Regional Development and Building Ministry.

According to the project, the length of the line is 3.51 kilometers. The construction is expected to be finished in four years.

As reported, in March 2009 the government approved a project for the construction of the Oleksiyivska line section of the Kharkiv railway underground from Naukova station to Prospekt Peremohy station at a total cost of UAH 963.309 million.
