yiv Metropoliten municipal company has invited companies to take part in a preliminary round of a tender to purchase of new five-wagon subway trains and relevant services.
According to a report of the company on the tender, which was published in the Uraidovy Kurier newspaper on November 28, Kyiv Metropoliten plans to use funds from the European Bank for the Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to cover expenses on the project for Kyiv city transport.
According to the report, the preliminary qualification and tender bids on contracts financed from the EBRD credit are open to firms and join ventures from all countries.
The documents for the preliminary round of the tender are to be submitted by 1200 December 22.
As reported, in August 2007, Kyiv Metropoliten signed a credit agreement with the EBRD on receiving a EUR 40 million credit to upgrade its rolling stock.
