The Cabinet of Ministers will ensure all funds are allocated to complete the construction of the Dniester hydroelectric pumped storage power plant despite the economic crisis, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has said.
"We pledge to finance everything in time, according to schedule and in full," she said during an event in Chernivtsi region on Thursday to mark the installation of the plant's storage pump.
Tymoshenko said that the Dniester hydroelectric pumped storage power plant would remain under state ownership.
"The Dniester plant will be included in a state enterprise that won't be subject to division and privatization," she said.
She also said that this year, the government had allocated a total of UAH 700 million for the construction of this plant.
