Ukraine's Environment Protection Ministry has put up for sale licenses on extraction of manganese ores at two fields of the Velykotokmakske field in Zaporizhia region for 20 years at an auction scheduled for December 29, 2009.
An official report in the Uriadovy Kurier newspaper published on Thursday says that the initial price of the said licenses is UAH 8.16 million and UAH 15.07 million respectively, and the price of geological information is UAH 270,000 and UAH 420,000.
A total of 29 various licesnes were put up for sale, and there were many licenses on oil, gas, methane and coal exploration, development and extraction.
In particular, bidder can fight for the Monastyretska oil and gas field with the initial price of UAH 8.6 million, the Mahurska oil and gas structure (both in Lviv region) with the initial price of UAH 2.72 million and the Yarmakovska oil field (Poltava region) worth UAH 1 million.
In addition, fields of Bazhanov, Kholodna Balka, Kirov and Butovska mines (all based in Donetsk region) for exploration and development of methane and coal deposits with a zero initial price.
Bidders can also fight for large sand fields: the Hadiach (Poltava region, UAH 2.32 million) and the Kamplitske field (Kharkiv region, UAH 6.83 million.
Bids can be submitted to the State Geological Service by December 11, 2009.
