The reason for the conflict at the Ukraina printing and publishing company, which produces official accounting documents, is a loss of control by the state, according to Acting Finance Minister Ihor Umansky.
"The key reason of the situation at the Ukraina printing company is a loss of control of the compay. While officially under the management of the Finance Ministry, the company's leadership [is controlled by] the owner of the EDAPS Consortium, supported the EDAPS in commercial issues, and not the government," Umansky said in comments to the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia (Mirror Weekly) newspaper published on Saturday.
He said that the company's director Valentyn Muzyka was often on sick leave, and only the director is responsible to the management body; his deputies were not responsible. Unamsky said he had not managed to receive explanations about the situation from them.
Umansky said that the Finance Ministry had now made the deputies of the director general of the Ukraina printing company responsible for the companies activities.
"We amended the company's regulations in line with the ministry's authorities, and gave the deputy directors not only rights, but also responsibilities. All the rest is politics," he said.
Dzerkalo Tyzhnia reported, referring to a source in the Finance Ministry, that the ministry would not support the idea of replacing Muzyka until after the presidential election.
