OJSC Turboatom, the only turbine equipment producer for hydroelectric, thermal and nuclear power plants, as of January 1, 2010, had an order portfolio of UAH 2 billion, according to the company's press service.
In 2009 the volume of produced goods was UAH 697.5 million, which is 74% up from 2008 and 49.3% up on the planned indicator.
The company's sales income last year was UAH 720 million, which was 30% up compared to 2008. The share of export in total sales was 73%.
The profitability of the products the company manufactured grew by ten percentage points from 2008, to 48%.
Last year the plant produced and shipped three steam turbines with a total capacity of 825 MW, equipment sets to modernize steam turbines at eleven of Russia's nuclear power plants, and nine hydraulic turbines with a total capacity of 727.6 MW.
Last year Turboatom transferred UAH 183.2 million in taxes, fees, dividends, and payments to the Pension Fund and other social funds to the national budget of Ukraine.
