Assembly of first roof support at Olympiysky sports complex starts

The assembly of the first support column for the roof over the stands at the Olympiysky national sports complex has started, the press service of the Family, Youth and Sport Ministry has reported, referring to Minister Yuriy Pavlenko.

"As reported, the complicated and continuous process of assembling the first supporting column at the Olympiysky national sports complex has started, and it will last for 34 hours," Pavlenko said.

As reported, Kyivmiskbud, which is the general contractor of the stadium reconstruction, on August 28, 2009 contracted Dnipropetrovsk-based Master-Profi-Ukraine Ltd. as the builder of the roof over the spectator seating of Olympiysky stadium.
