The Ukrainian Interior Ministry has said that it is necessary to challenge a ruling of Kyiv Podil District Court that sentenced one of the persons named in the Elita-Center fraud - Andriy Terentiev - to five years of imprisonment.
The public relations department at the ministry reported on Thursday, referring to deputy head of the chief investigation department at the ministry, Viktor Ilchuk, that the court recognized only office negligence in the actions of Terentiev.
"Court actually dismissed the key corpus delicti revealed in the pre-hearing investigation, and there were at least four of them, and they all relate to the category of gave crimes and especially grave crimes," Ilchuk said.
