Government is to pay UAH 44 b on internal debts by late 2010, Azarov says

Ukraine is to pay UAH 44 billion on internal obligations in April through December 2010, Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov has said.

"Payments on internal obligations grow every month. The government is to pay UAH 44 billion over the remaining nine months. This is a very serious problem," Azarov said in an interview with the Izvestiya v Ukraine newspaper.

The head of government said that according to the current schedule it is necessary to pay about UAH 1 billion on internal debts in February and over UAH 5 billion in April.
