Nissan Motor Ukraine, a subsidiary of Japan's Nissan Motor Co., in 2008 sold 17,785 Nissan cars, which is 52.1% up year-over-year (11,690 cars), the company's press service has said.
In December 2008, Nissan Motor Ukraine sold 859 Nissan cars, which was 13.5% up compared to November and 26% down compared to December 2007.
The press service said that in December the Note model ranked first in sales (168 cars sold, 2.2 times less year-over-year).
The X-Trail ranked second in the period (150 cars sold), and the Qashqai and Micra ranked third (110 of each model sold).
According to the press service, Nissan Motor Ukraine in 2008 sold 666 Infiniti cars in Ukraine, including 18 Infiniti cars sold in December.
Over 2008 the Note model ranked first in sales (3,756 cars), the Qashqai ranked second (3,603 cars), and the X-Trail ranked third (2,759 cars).
Nissan Motor Ukraine started its activities in April 2005.
In 2007, the company sold 11,720 Nissan cars in Ukraine, which was 70% up year-on-year.
