Beer production in Ukraine to remain at 2009 level in 2010, says Ukrpyvo

Beer production in Ukraine in 2010 will be 300 million decaliters, which is the same as in 2009 (300.5 million decaliters), according to a press release of CJSC Ukrpyvo, which unites Ukrainian breweries.

Ukrpyvo Director General Halyna Korenkova said at a press conference on Thursday that in January-July 2010 a total of 188.1 million decaliters of beer was produced in Ukraine, which is 1.6% down year-over-year. She said that beer exports in H1, 2010 stood at 15.3 million decaliters, and beer imports came to one million decaliters.
