OJSC Azot (Cherkasy), one of the leading Ukrainian chemical enterprises, has completed repairs to its A-3 ammonia workshop ahead of schedule and launched the facility, according to the company's Web site.
The company said that all planned activities have been performed in full. Currently the workshop is operating at full capacity.
As reported, the net loss of Cherkasy-based Azot came to UAH 213.23 million in 2009, while year-over-year the company earned UAH 694.38 million in net profit.
The plant produces ammonium nitrate, ammonia, carbamide, and other chemicals.
Oleksandr Yaroslavsky, the co-owner of UkrSibbank (Kharkiv), controls the plant.
