The Transport and Communications Ministry of Ukraine is planning on September 8 to open the F terminal at Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv), Minister Kostiantyn Yefymenko told journalists on Friday.
"All work at the terminal has been performed in full. It is ready to accept its first passengers," he said.
According to the minister, about 40% of flights serviced at Boryspil airport will be transferred to the F terminal from October 1.
In addition, the airport has to complete the overhaul of B terminal in November.
The minister said that the airport's F apron is being reconstructed.
According to the minister's forecast, passenger turnover at Boryspil airport in 2010 will reach 6.1 million people.
