Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has said she is optimistic about the possible resumption of cooperation between Kyiv and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and is planning to propose that the second and third tranches of the fund's stand-by loan to the country be merged.
"I'm sure that the reviewed program will be signed, we'll reach agreement, and everything will be fine within two weeks. I have a very optimistic forecast," she said in Kyiv on Thursday.
"We'll reenter the schedule [for the allocation of IMF loan tranches], and I think the second and third tranches could be merged. We'll put forward this proposal," Tymoshenko said.
