Ukrainian and Azerbaijani Presidents Viktor Yuschenko and Ilham Aliyev have signed a roadmap for Ukrainian-Azerbaijani cooperation in 2009-2010.
The protocol of the first meeting of the council of the Ukrainian and Azerbaijani presidents was signed in Baku on Thursday.
A plan of consultations between the Ukrainian and Azerbaijani foreign ministries and an inter-governmental protocol amending an agreement on military and technical cooperation of March 24, 1997, were also signed after the council of the presidents and extended talks.
Moreover, the sides signed an agreement on cooperation between the Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service and the Azerbaijani National Security Ministry, as well as a framework inter-governmental agreement on cooperation in the exploration and use of space for peaceful purposes.
An agreement between the Volyn regional state administration (Ukraine) and the Gyandzha (Azerbaijan) city administration on economic, scientific, technical, and cultural cooperation was signed as well.
