Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko has instructed the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) to approve jointly with the Cabinet of Ministers the procedure of banks' recapitalization within four days.
"Four days - everything should be ready," he said at a meeting at the NBU on Wednesday.
The issue of the bank recapitalization procedure is being considered for over four months, and the delay with its approval affects the country's economy, the president said.
He also called on the head of the International Monetary Fund's mission who is currently in Ukraine not to leave the country until the issue is resolved.
