A Norwegian-flagged Framnes dry cargo ship has run aground in Estonian waters not far from Аksi Island, Interfax learned at the Estonian border department.
The 80-meter-long merchant vessel was bound for the port of Muuga. The emergency signal was received on Sunday night.
"The crew of the vessel consists of ten Ukrainians. Nobody was hurt. No pollution of environment was registered," the board guard's press service reported.
At the same time, the waterways administration said that the inspectors of the department arrived at the vessel and found that the concentration of alcohol in blood of the captain was 0.99 per mille.
Scuba divers will soon examine the hull and relevant services will try to bring the vessel afloat.
