Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has said that this month Ukraine has in full and in time paid for gas supplied by Russia's gas monopolist Gazprom and started preparations for the next heating season.
"Again, we have in full and in time paid for gas supplies this month," the premier said while opening the government's meeting in Kyiv on Wednesday.
Tymoshenko noted that Ukraine transferred $650 million to Gazprom.
"We have paid for 2.398 billion cubic meters of gas, and part of this gas we have already pumped into Ukraine's underground storage facilities," the premier said.
