Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has accused the Regions Party's faction in parliament of sabotaging consideration of the government's anti-crisis program and 274 government bills.
"Unfortunately, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine currently cannot work thanks to the Regions Party's faction. Moreover, parliament has 274 government bills ... reforming and regulating the country's life in all economic branches in Ukraine," she said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.
Tymoshenko also described the Regions Party's moves as irresponsible and determined to paralyze the work of the government and the entire country.
"Neither the government's anti-crisis program, nor government bills, most of them aimed at tackling the crisis, and, in fact, being anti-crisis ones, can currently be considered due to the sabotage of the parliament's work by the Regions Party... Unfortunately, the irresponsibility of one political party has paralyzed the work of the entire Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and, in fact, the entire country. I think that such moves won't increase the popularity of the Regions Party in society," she said.
