The Verkhovna Rada started working after the Regions Party lifted its blockade of the rostrum and immediately announced a break until Friday.
First Vice-Speaker Oleksandr Lavrynovych opened a morning meeting on Thursday and announced a break until 1000 on Friday, May 15.
Lavrynovych said that the parliamentary faction leaders agreed at the conciliatory council to have a break in the parliament's work to hold political consultations on the dismissal of Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko.
Regions Party members earlier blocked the parliament's presidium and rostrum, demanding Lutsenko's dismissal.
