Diplomat says stable supply of Russian gas to Europe will be a priority for Sweden's EU presidency

The unhindered supply of Russian gas to European consumers will be a priority for Sweden's presidency of the European Union, Swedish Ambassador to Ukraine Stefan Gullgren has said.

"It's extremely important that halts in the supply of [gas] to EU consumers, such as occurred early this year, don't happen again. This will be one of the major priorities during Sweden's presidency of the EU," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.
