The Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko is planning to submit a motion to the Constitutional Court regarding the constitutionality of a presidential decree dismissing Vasyl Motsny as the head of Kirovohrad Regional State Administration, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has said.
"I will propose that our MPs submit a statement to the Constitutional Court to consider the constitutionality of the decree," she said in Kirovohrad on Friday.
She said that according to the constitution, the president has no right to dismiss regional governors without government submissions.
"We won't give such a submission," she said.
Tymoshenko also said that Motsny had already challenged this decree in the courts, which have since suspended the effect of the decree.
