The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, will hold its special plenary meeting on Tuesday, December 9, to discuss the situation in the country. The Ukrainian president and the government led by the prime minister will be invited to this meeting.
A total of 353 MPs out of the 435 registered in the parliament's session hall backed the proposal on Thursday.
Moreover, 303 MPs voted for the decision making the next week of the parliament a week of plenary meetings. The Communist Party and the Bloc of Lytvyn rejected this decision.
The MPs were scheduled to work in constituencies next week.
Verkhovna Rada First Deputy Chairman Oleksandr Lavrynovych closed a plenary meeting of the parliament on Thursday. The next session will take place on Tuesday, December 9.
