The results of the NATO Council session at the foreign minister's level in Brussels proved that the alliance is ready to consider the positions of all members of security process, Deputy Director of NATO department of Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Vadym Prystayko said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.
"We hope the Russian Federation understands that its position was taken into account by the alliance members, proving that the alliance is and remains a peaceful defense organization, which is ready to consider the positions of all of the members of the security process," he said.
Prystayko also noted Ukraine understands that Russia "has its foreign policies priorities and they don't coincide with ours at this stage."
However, he said Ukraine has the right to define its security system "by itself, and as it considers necessary."
