NATO wants to increase the size of its mission in Ukraine, according to NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Security Cooperation and Partnership Robert Simmons.
He said this via a video linkup with Brussels during a round table meeting entitled "Ukraine-NATO: what's next?" in Kyiv on Thursday.
Simmons also said that the alliance intends to reform the Ukraine-NATO commission so that it better fits in with Ukraine's movement towards acquiring NATO membership.
He explained that reforming the Ukraine-NATO commission would provide it with more functions than purely advisory ones.
