Two people have been hospitalized in Kyiv region with suspected symptoms of the A(H1N1) flu virus, commonly known as swine flu, Regional Governor Viktor Vakarash has said.
He said this at a teleconference in Kyiv on Wednesday.
He said that the patients with suspected swine flu symptoms from Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky and Bohuslav had been immediately taken to hospital, and their samples had been passed to a laboratory to confirm the diagnosis.
One of the patients is in an intensive care unit.
