Twenty-eight cases of the A/H1N1 flu virus have been confirmed in Ukraine, according to Oleksiy Hromazin, the director of the Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry's department for healthcare and medical and biological protection.
He said on Friday that of the 28 confirmed swine flu cases, 13 people had died. He also said that 109 people had already died of flu and acute respiratory infections in Ukraine since the start of the epidemic.
