The Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense Bloc has decided to start talks with the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko and the Bloc of Lytvyn about the formation of a coalition.
OU-PSD faction member Oleksandr Bondar told this to reporters on Tuesday.
According to him, 55 MPs voted for this at a meeting of the faction.
Four MPs of the United Center group abstained from voting, namely Olesia Orobets, Mykhailo Polianchych, Oksana Bilozir and Zinoviy Shkutiak, said Bondar.
OU-PSD faction leader Viacheslav Kyrylenko will lead the group at negotiations with the BYT and Lytvyn Bloc.
Ukraine's current parliament has five factions: the Regions Party (175 MPs), the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko (156 MPs), Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense (72 MPs), Communist Party (27) and the Bloc of Lytvyn (20 MPs). According to the Constitution, the Ukrainian parliament is made up of 450 MPs.
