Foreign Ministry not confirming reports of Faina crew's attacking Somali pirates

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has received no reports confirming an attack by the crewmembers of the Faina ship on the Somali pirates who captured the vessel in September.

The spokesman for the ministry, Vasyl Kyrylych, told this to Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.

Some media reported earlier that one of the pirates who seized the Faina has said that the ship's crew had attacked two of his colleagues.
