Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense Bloc Deputy Head and People's Rukh of Ukraine Leader Borys Tarasiuk has said he is not afraid of taking responsibility for signing a coalition agreement with the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko and the Bloc of Lytvyn, and said he is ready to resign from his post if it eases the creation of a coalition, according to the press service of the People's Rukh of Ukraine.
He was commenting on whether he was afraid of taking responsibility for signing the agreement ahead of other party leaders and whether he should be dismissed his from his post for doing so.
"No, I am not afraid. Moreover, I was ready for this kind of development. This question was not brought to a vote at today's faction meeting. If the existence of the coalition, which is awaited by Ukrainian voters, [is threatened] by me being deputy faction head, let them dismiss me [from this post]," he said.
Tarasiuk said that by signing the coalition agreement, he implemented a decision taken by the People's Rukh, which supports this format of the coalition.
