Candidate for Ukraine's president and leader of the Party of Regions Viktor Yanukovych has said that he will not allow the January 17 presidential ballot to be disrupted.
"We will not allow any scenario [to foil the election]. If anybody cherishes such dreams, we will disappoint them," he told reporters in Kharkiv on Thursday.
When asked which political force will benefit from rigging the vote, Yanukovych named Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and her political force.
"Ukraine's Prime Minister Tymoshenko is speaking a lot about the election fraud. She is the only person, who has not been allowing the country to live in peace for five years, as well as on the eve of the ballot, by inventing various techniques known and unknown to any encyclopedia in the world," he said.
