Third stage of rotation of Ukraine's helicopter detachment in UN mission begins in Liberia

The third stage of rotation of the 56th separate helicopter detachment of Ukraine's Armed Forces, which is taking part in the United Nations' mission in Liberia, began on February 10, the press service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine has reported.
During the third stage, an An-0124-110 Ruslan airplane will deliver three Mi-21 helicopters from Liberia to Ukraine. The helicopters were withdrawn due to modernization of the organizational structure of the Ukrainian peacekeeping contingent.
The first stage of the rotation took place in December 2009, when Ukrainian peacekeepers of the 12th rotation arrived in Liberia.
During the second stage of rotation in January 2010, a total of 33 units of equipment, goods for medical, automobile, food and other services were delivered to Liberia by sea. A total of 38 unites of worn out or used up special equipment were returned to Ukraine.
