Ukraine's national budget in January 2010 posted a UAH 1.623 billion deficit, while in January 2009 the budget's surplus was UAH 1.648 billion, reads a posting on the Web site of the Ukrainian Finance Ministry.
The report says that revenues of the national budget in January came to UAH 15.095 billion, which is 12.5% up against last month (UAH 13.417 billion). Budget expenses in January grew by 53.9% compared to January 2009 (UAH 10.904 billion), reaching UAH 16.782 billion.
The Finance Ministry also said that the consolidated budget in January enjoyed a surplus of UAH 423.1 million, while year-over-year the surplus stood at UAH 2.605 billion.
