MP Vadym Kolesnichenko of the Regions Party faction predicts that a new coalition will be formed within a week.
"After the resignation of the government, a new coalition will be formed within a week, which will put forward a candidate for the post of prime minister," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.
The new coalition may include the factions of the Regions Party, the Bloc of Lytvyn, the Communist Party of Ukraine, as well as the Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense faction, Kolesnichenko said.
The MP believes that a coalition of the Regions Party with the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko is impossible.
In addition, Kolesnichenko expressed his personal opinion that Mykola Azarov is the best candidate for the post of prime minister. However, the Regions Party has already proposed a draft coalition agreement, and it doesn't indicate any specific candidate for the post of prime minister, the MP said.
"We can still make a compromise on a candidate for prime minister with other parties," he said.
