First Vice Premier Oleksandr Turchynov has been empowered to fulfill the prime minister's duties until a new government is formed, the media liaisons office of the government's secretariat reported on Thursday.
Such a decision was taken in line with the Ukrainian Constitution and the current law.
On March 3, the Ukrainian parliament passed a vote of no confidence in the Cabinet of Ministers led by Premier Yulia Tymoshenko, which automatically foresees the government's dismissal.
