A new law on prosecutor's office must be adopted in the near future, Ukrainian Prosecutor General Oleksandr Medvedko has said.
"In the coming months a new law on prosecutor's office must be adopted," he said at a meeting of the heads of law enforcement agencies with the participation of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych on Friday.
The prosecutor general noted that such a draft has been already prepared and that it "fully corresponds to the constitution and the realities of the present day."
"We hope for the support of the head of the state regarding this issue," Medvedko added.
