The Ukrainian armed forces have put in service the modernized Sukhoi Su-25 UBM1 combat trainer and the Su-25 M1 warplane, the Defense Ministry said on Monday in reference to an ordinance by Minister Mykhailo Yezhel.
The two-seat Su-25 UBM1 will be used for training pilots. It is also an improved modified version of the Su-25 UB.
The plane has two R-95Sh engines, a maximum altitude of 7,000 meters, a flight range of 890 kilometers and a maximum speed of 980 kilometers per hour at an altitude of 200 meters.
The Su-25 M1 is a modernized Su-25 with similar characteristics.
