The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers approved eight government committees and their staff at a meeting on Wednesday, the media liaisons office of the government's secretariat has reported.
In particular, the government formed a committee for reforms and appointed Prime Minister Mykola Azarov as its head.
The cabinet also approved a committee for the development of economic branches, a committee for national security, defense, law enforcement activities and the work of military and industrial enterprises, a committee for regional policy, construction and the housing and utilities sphere, a committee for agriculture policy, a committee for humanitarian, social, scientific and innovational development, a committee for the environment, youth policy, sports and tourism, and a committee for preparing for and holding the Euro 2012 European Football Championship in Ukraine.
