President heads committee for economic reform

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has issued a decree approving the regulations and personal staff of the committee for economic reform set up under presidential decree No. 273 of February 26.

Decree No. 355/2010 of March 17, 2010 was posted on the official Web site of the head of state on Wednesday.

The document reads that President Yanukovych is to head the committee.

The committee also includes Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, Presidential Administration Head Serhiy Liovochkin, Presidential Administration First Deputy Head Iryna Akimova, Presidential Administration First Deputy Head Olena Lukash, Presidential Administration Deputy Head Hanna Herman, First Deputy Prime Minister Andriy Kliuyev, Deputy Prime Ministers Borys Kolesnikov, Volodymyr Semynozhenko, Viktor Slauta, Viktor Tykhonov, Sergiy Tigipko, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Anatoliy Tolstoukhov, Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko, Justice Minister Oleksandr Lavrynovych, and National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Governor Volodymyr Stelmakh (by consent).

Moreover, the committee also includes Director of the Institute for Economics and Forecasting of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Valeriy Heyets (by consent), Director General of the Bureau for Economic and Social Technologies Valeriy Hladky (by consent), Head of the Parliamentary Committee for Budget Mykola Derkach (by consent), Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies Andriy Yermolayev, Rector of the Ukrainian Institute of Stock Market Development of Kyiv Vadym Hetman National Economic University Dmytro Leonov (by consent), Director of the Institute of Demography and Social Research of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences Ella Libanova (by consent), Director of Morgan Stanley Ukraine Ihor Mitiukov (by consent), Rector of Kyiv Vadym Hetman National Economic University Anatoliy Pavlenko (by consent), and Head of the Parliamentary Committee for Economic Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko ( by consent).
