Russia's Gazprom is ready to resume talks with Ukraine's Naftogaz Ukrainy, Gazprom's official spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov announced Tuesday.
"We are surprised to hear statements [by Naftogaz CEO Oleh Dubyna] that Naftogaz intends to continue talks on January 8. We are ready to resume talks any minute," Kupriyanov told reporters in Moscow.
He confirmed that "Gazprom has been and will remain a reliable gas supplier".
"We think it's too late. The situation is too serious to afford waiting for two more days," the spokesman added.
