Talks between Russia's Gazprom and Naftogaz Ukrainy have been scheduled for noon, January 8, Naftogaz head Oleh Dubyna said at a news conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.
A meeting was held with the general director of Gazpromsbyt Ukraine, Anatoliy Podmyshalsky, in Kyiv on Tuesday, he said. "I cannot say it yielded any outcome," Dubyna said.
The latest developments in the gas conflict were discussed by phone on Wednesday with the European Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs, he added.
"Gazprom's position in the conflict is not clear to Brussels," Dubyna said.
"The Russian side's position is not clear and inadequate," he said
