Methane gas explosion went off on Wednesday night in Novovolynsk town in Volyn region at coalmine No 10, which is under development and has not been yet launched. Seven workers were injured.
The press service of the Emergencies Ministry reported on Wednesday that gas exploded 355 meters deep during concrete laying works.
Workers burnt from the blast were taken to a hospital.
Preliminary reports indicated that methane ignited by a sparkle.
