Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso have agreed on urgent sending of technical experts from the European Union to monitor the flow of natural gas supplied by Russia to the European Union, the press service of the Ukrainian government reported on Wednesday.
Tymoshenko told Barroso that if Russia resumes gas deliveries to the European states, Ukraine would ensure its stable transit.
The sides said that the national JSC Naftogaz Ukrainy and OAO Gazprom should continue talks in a constructive way.
The premier told the European commission president that Ukraine consumes Ukrainian-produced gas and gas accumulated in the storage facilities in summer.
