Ukraine and Japan resume cooperation on Kyoto Protocol

Japan has transferred to Ukraine the second tranche of a payment for the sale of 30 million greenhouse gas emission units to Japan agreed in March 2009, Head of the National Agency for Environmental Investment of Ukraine Serhiy Orlenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday.

According to him, an international audit confirmed the replenishment of the accounts of the State Treasury of Ukraine opened for the first tranche.

Orlenko specified that the assets from Japan arrived on the accounts on July 29, 2010.
