Director of the Euro 2012 Local Organizing Committee in Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky has said that the principal task for Lviv and the region is to bring their sports infrastructure in line with the UEFA requirements.
"The principal attention should be paid to the construction of basic and transfer training grounds in Lviv," Lubkivsky said during a working visit to Lviv, the committee's press service reported on Monday.
According to him, UEFA had no claims to the hotel infrastructure of the city and the region, but it was the other way round with the sports infrastructure.
The city should also timely complete and commission the facilities for lodging the target groups. The database of accommodation for fans should be completed drawn up, he said.
According to Lubkivsky, without the adequate transport communication between Lviv and the town of Truskavets, it will be difficult to use the potential of the latter. He also emphasized the need for assigning special traffic lines for public transport.
