The thirteenth rotation of the Ukrainian peacekeepers of the Multinational Task Force East of Kosovo Force (KFOR) has ended.
The last group, made up of 48 Ukrainian servicemen of the 13th rotation, arrived by train in Kyiv on Wednesday, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's press service reported.
According to the commander of the Ukrainian peacekeeping contingent of the 13th rotation, Colonel Viacheslav Andrushko, the Ukrainian servicemen were performing tasks together with the U.S., Turkish, Polish and Portuguese military.
The 13th rotation was conducted in three stages. Earlier, 98 peacekeepers, military equipment and provisions were brought by train from the Balkans to Ukraine.
A total of 125 servicemen of the 79th detached air-mobile brigade of Ukraine's Land Forces are still involved into peacekeeping operations in the Balkans.
