The population of Ukraine in June 2010 fell by almost 11,920 people and as of July 1 was 45,859,818, the State Statistics Committee has reported.
As of June 1, the population of Ukraine was 45,871,738 people.
The population in cities as of the start of July was 31.5 million people, and that in villages 14.4 million.
Some 240,400 people were born in the country from January to July 2010, and 352,200 people died.
Some 109,300 marriages and 69,800 divorces were registered in the country over the seven months.
The total coefficient of the birth rate per 1,000 people is 10.6, that of death rate 15.5, the coefficient of marriages is 4.8, and that of divorces is 3.1.
